A Whistler Engagement with a Creative Twist

Writer: Olivier LefebvreOlivier Lefebvre

Kicking off 2025 the right way—with an adventure-filled session in Whistler. There’s just something about the mix of towering forests, misty lakes, and rugged train wrecks that makes for the perfect backdrop. And for this shoot, we wanted to push the creativity even further.

From intimate, moody close-ups to bold experimental shots, we played with different techniques to bring out the raw connection between these two. One of the standouts? A wild double exposure that gave the whole image a surreal, almost cinematic feel. (Can you guess which shot was inspired by @oakandironphotography?)

We started by Alta Lake, where the couple shared a quiet moment by the water before moving into the forest, finding hidden boardwalks and the legendary Whistler train wreck site. A few laughs, a lot of wind, and some unexpected magic later, we ended with a drone shot on a bridge overlooking waterfalls—one of those moments that feels like it belongs in a movie.

First session of the year, and we’re already obsessed. If this is how 2025 is starting, we can’t wait to see what’s next.
