Carrie & Sam’s Aberthau Mansion Wedding in Vancouver
There’s something about Aberthau Mansion in Vancouver that makes a wedding feel instantly intimate.
The dark wood, stained-glass windows, little library corners, grand piano and gardens outside give you so many completely different spaces without ever having to leave the property. Carrie and Sam’s wedding fit the venue perfectly — elegant and beautiful, but still relaxed and full of personality.
Their day started quietly inside the mansion, getting ready with their favourite people before meeting outside for portraits around the gardens. We played with the pockets of light, the old stone walls and some of Aberthau mansions moodier interiors before everyone gathered for the ceremony.
And then came all the moments we love most.
Sam trying to hold it together. Family wiping away tears. Carrie laughing through the ceremony. Guests cheering as they walked back down the aisle.
The reception moved into Aberthau’s warm, wood-panelled rooms for dinner and speeches before the whole thing slowly turned into a very different kind of party.
Drinks were raised, people hugged a little tighter, the photo booth got increasingly ridiculous, and Carrie changed into the most incredible red dress before everyone hit the dance floor.
By the end of the night, we moved to the Beaumont Studios to party it up!
Carrie + Sam, thank you for letting us be part of it. 🤍
