This past Saturday, I had the immense pleasure of photographing the wedding of my amazingly good friends, Mikaela and Vincent. Their choice of venue was nothing short of breathtaking, nestled just an hour and some away from Montreal, Quebec. Despite living so close, I had never ventured out in that direction, and it was a delightful surprise to discover such a gem of a location.
Lately, there's been a noticeable shift towards smaller, more intimate weddings, and as wedding photographers, we are absolutely loving it! The focus on close-knit gatherings allows us to capture more genuine and heartfelt moments, creating a truly special collection of memories.
When Mikaela asked me to be part of her big day out on the east coast, I was both thrilled and honored. Being there to capture these real moments with her and her family, surrounded by a handful of close friends and family, made the whole event feel incredibly intimate and wholesome. Our all-day collection, from early morning preparations to the reception, ensured that Mikaela and Vincent didn’t have to worry about timing or missing out on capturing any precious moments.
The day kicked off with a vibrant and energetic vibe as we arrived to meet the bride's team. The excitement was palpable, and the music was already bumping, setting the perfect tone for the celebrations to come. Mikaela and Vincent had assembled a fantastic team of vendors who brought their vision to life in the most spectacular way.
The venue itself was a true masterpiece, seamlessly accommodating everything from getting ready to the ceremony and reception. This all-in-one location trend is becoming increasingly popular, and for good reason – it eliminates travel time between different sites, allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in the celebration.
Emmett R., the florist, adorned the venue with stunning real flowers, creating a lush and romantic atmosphere. Leshae Oliver worked her magic with makeup, while Jessica Wilson’s epic hairstyling added an extra touch of glamour to the bridal party. Marissa Leon-John provided delicious cocktails and food that had everyone raving, and Ray, the DJ and MC, kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long.
From the joyous first look to the heartfelt vows and the lively reception, every moment was a testament to Mikaela and Vincent’s love and the close bonds they share with their friends and family. It was an unforgettable day filled with laughter, love, and endless memories.
Mikaela and Vincent, thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful journey. Your wedding was a true reflection of who you are – warm, loving, and full of joy. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness together!
