We’ve photographed a lot of weddings, but some days just stick with you—and May 17th with Claudina and Jeremy was one of those days.
The night before, the Vancouver skies poured rain, and like any couple planning an outdoor first look, Claudina and Jeremy were a little anxious. We were too (okay, maybe we checked the weather app every half hour). Originally, the plan was to kick off their first look at Queen Elizabeth Park, but with the forecast looking sketchy, We made a game-time decision and rerouted to UBC. And honestly? It was the perfect call.
The morning started with calm, cozy moments. The connection between them all was undeniable, an awesome crew to help them get ready in the morning. There were gifts, laughter, music and drinks!
As the final touches were made, the skies cleared up like magic. Not only did the rain hold off, but the sun actually showed up for their big day—giving us gorgeous light for portraits and we never needed the umbrellas.
We raced over to Heritage Hall on Main Street for the ceremony, and it was nothing short of beautiful. Erika from Young and Hip Officiants led a heartfelt and fun ceremony that had everyone smiling. From there, it was the best kind of chaos—speeches that hit right in the feels, food, cake, and of course... dancing until last call.
Claudina and Jeremy—thank you for trusting us to capture your day, rain scare and all. We loved every minute.
