Clayburn Village Church wedding // Abbortford
Updated: Mar 4, 2020
When I got news that this wedding was in this beautiful heritage Clayburn Village Church, I couldn't believe it! I had seen this place once before a few month prior and was thinking how adorable this church was.
Gareth and Odette had a very intimate wedding with only a few members of their families and friends. From the moment I arrived, everyone was already having fun. I only had a few moments with Gareth before they decided to have their first look before the ceremony. In only a few moments I knew just how adorable these two were. No wonder they picked this beautiful church, it was a perfect fit!
When I heard that they were also going to do a celtic tradition of hand-fasting I was even more excited to be part of this wedding. Beautiful words were passed from the mother and sister as the tied the knot around themselves, so are their lives now bounded. Having chosen Green meaning "fertility, luck, prosperity, nurturing, beauty, health, love" and white "spiritual purity, truth, peace, serenity and devotion" it only made sense with their personality.
We then moved to Clayburn heritage school where they had the whole ceremony held. With beautiful handcrafted decorations and traditional Irish music playing, they served amazing vegan food from a local vendor. This was truly a intimate family and a few friends event which Odette nicely planned out.
If you are looking for a small heritage church and venue, I highly recommend this quite place. I can't wait to come back to this place :)
