Fun elopement in Gastown, Vancouver

Saturday, the 22nd of May was Joe and Tia's Wedding! I couldn't have been more excited. We first connected when Joe asked me to come and photograph his proposal on Grandville Island. You can read all about it here. They first planned to get married in 2020 but with the pandemic, we had moved it up to 2021 hoping larger weddings would happen. #loveisnotcancelled! Elopements are a fantastic way are getting rid of all the regular obligations and just focus on you as the couple and enjoy this special day.

They changed venue and reduced all their guest to a 4 of their closest friends and family. The Garden Strathcona was an adorable venue that I had not been yet. This place is a perfect venue for small weddings and elopements with a great coffee downstairs! With livestreaming now being easier to do, the whole family can be a part of your day and see your ceremony.

One thing we loved the most about Joe and Tia was that they never stopped laughing and having a good time with all our suggestions. We could feel their love. They loved walking with us for hours around downtown Vancouver for their elopement and just getting silly. Seriously we love elopements! One day with Joe and Tia was not enough. They were so amazing to be around and photograph.

Congrats to Joe and Tia for such a lovely wedding and making us part of your day. We wish you guys the best.
