This last May I had the enormous pleasure of meeting Edison and Rose for an engagement session. After a few email exchange we decided to drive up from Vancouver to Porteau Cove. Since I moved out here about 2 years ago, I fell in love with the scenery. This photo session was exactly what I had envision. As a photographer this felt like a great achievement. #goals
Right from the start I could feel like they were the kind of people I could get along and have a blast with. We talked and joked all the way up to Porteau Cove and through this shared drive, but I had the opportunity to be invited into their world and discover their love story. From our first email exchange Rose had shared with me exactly how cute this couple was. They had made a full website giving the world their word about how they met and their first date. I knew from that moment they were the kind of couple I enjoy working with.
We got to Porteau Cove and it was just a gorgeous day. Families were out on the beach and picnicking. Divers were enjoying coming out from exploring the waters. It truly was a perfect day to create some magical moments. After awhile I knew it was time to change location and Whytecliff Park is definitely the number one spot for engagement sessions. At the moment of our arrival we noticed 6 other photographers doing engagement sessions! Luckily for us we didn't have to wait around for certain areas to shoot and maximized the remaining light of sunset.
We finished our day exactly where they connected.
Here are a few moments we shared together.
These milkshakes are the bomb!
